Topic: Custom Lapel Pins

Breast Cancer Awareness Month is fast approaching so it only seems fit that we write a blog about the special people we have worked with in the past.  Courtney Lercara-Zinszer is one such person.  Signature Pins has created custom lapel pins for her organization, Pink Wings, since 2004.  A two-time breast cancer survivor, Courtney has made it her life’s mission to raise awareness and funds for other women battling this disease.

What Does Pink Wings Do in Regards to Fundraising?

Along with her family and Team Pink Wings, Courtney has helped raise nearly $500,000 by participating in Breast Cancer walks and events around the country and by selling Pink Wings items like the custom lapel pins that we create for her each year.  The small awareness related items yield big returns.  Not only do they help save lives by drawing attention to breast cancer and prevention, they also encourage others to take their own health seriously by eating a healthy diet and scheduling mammograms each year.

Spreading a Message of Hope to Other Women Worldwide

Since 1999, Courtney has participated in 11 Breast Cancer 3-Day events.  She has walked 60 miles from Santa Barbara to Malibu, Boca Raton to Miami, and Enumclaw to Seattle.  She has also clocked 60 miles in the Los Angeles, San Diego, Michigan, Chicago, and Boston 3-Day events.  Armed with her family members by her side, she has helped change the world through her strength and determination as a breast cancer survivor.

Lapel Pins Transcend Language Barriers

Custom lapel pins are very powerful for this reason.  They have the ability to transcend language barriers but still remain as unique as the men and women that order them.  They are lightweight enough to travel in a suitcase or a bag but durable enough to withstand the test of time.  They can be created in a variety of sizes, shapes, styles, and colors depending on a business, group or organization’s personal preferences.  They can also be paired up with custom cardstock as a way of extending the message or offering a few words of hope to the women battling breast cancer throughout the world.
