What is Glaucoma?

Signs and Symptoms of Glaucoma

The signs and symptoms of glaucoma vary from one individual to the next.  Here are some things that WebMD tells you to look for:

• Vision Loss
• Eye Redness
• Hazy Eye (Infants in particular)
• Seeing Halos Around Lights
• Nausea and Vomiting
• Eye Pain
• Narrowing of Vision (Tunnel Vision)

A vision test focuses on the optic nerve.  It allows the optometrist to see changes in the eye as glaucoma progresses.  This type of test is standard, does not cause pain, and takes very little time to administer.
