Celebrating an Unlikely Journey to Victory with Custom Trading Pins

The road to the World Series is never smooth, but for this year’s unlikely champions, it seemed downright impossible! Punching a ticket to the Little League World Series bracket is an incredible accomplishment in itself. Thousands of teams across the country compete for one of just 20 spots.

But the kids from Lake Mary earned one of those spots. And then, after 38 games played in just 12 days, they were the last team standing. No team from Florida has ever won the Little League World Series, and as a Florida-based company ourselves, the Signature Pins team was so proud of their victory and so excited to create a set of custom baseball pins and challenge coins in their honor!

Trading pins and challenge coins have been used to celebrate victories and the camaraderie shared between teammates for years, and the designs are always unique. The now iconic black and yellow colors of the Lake Mary team anchor the designs, and the script across the jersey is a special note to the font used by little league teams all across the nation. Like any sports trading pin, these were created to be a lasting tribute to the team’s hard-earned championship, but also to celebrate the once-in-a-lifetime experience of winning the World Series.

This was an exciting project to work on here at Signature Pins, not only because they were for the World Series champs, but also because Lake Mary is our local team! All of the pins and coins for the Lake Mary team were designed and manufactured in our domestic manufacturing facility just down the road from the team’s home field, and we were able to hand-deliver them to the victory parade!

We’re not the only people from Florida who wanted to join the celebration. The Tampa Bay Rays hosted the entire Lake Mary team in St. Petersburg, giving them a real-life look at life in Major League Baseball. The kids got to meet with Tampa Bay players and took the field before the game for a special ovation. They were also invited to the Walt Disney World for a Main Street USA parade in their honor, and even the state Governor reached out to congratulate the team and hold a special ceremony at the Governor’s house in their honor.
